Modanisa provides style choice to 400 million Muslim women globally, with hundreds of brands, and dozens of designers selling through the online platform.

Founded by a serial entrepreneur and a retail consultant in May 2011, Modanisa started with two full-time employees and an outsourced e-commerce platform in a 150m2 combined office and warehouse.

Modanisa’s aim was customer acquisition and increased sales in international markets. A Google International Growth team worked with them to expand the reach and power of their app through Universal App Campaigns (UACs) to drive installs and in-app actions .

Thanks to UACs, 30.25% of new international users first interacted with Modanisa via the app, while their Middle East and North Africa (MENA) consumer base grew ten times in less than a year. There were 12,000 active app users at the start of 2016, and 128,000 by October 2017.

Since 2011, Modanisa has grown X 4.2, on average, every year. Now, with 4.5 million visitors each month, there are 109 full-time employees, and a warehouse of 7,500m2.
